Marie Maslowski, a longtime staff member in the Department of Theatre and New Dance died July 17.
Maslowski was an administrative support coordinator the department for 20 years. She worked a total of 22 years on campus.
In her time at 911±¬ÁÏÍø, she supported thousands of students, hundreds of faculty, and fellow staff through major transitions, both personal and professional. She had a warmth and personal generosity that extended beyond just our department needs - she kept us going as artists, teachers, and humans.
Maslowski will be profoundly missed by her family, including her two children and four grandchildren, for whom she was a fountain of love and rock of support.
There will be a Celebration of Life held for her on Friday, Aug. 25 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the University Theatre. Doors will open at 5.m. This will be a special memorial service for her Cal Poly Pomona community, hosted by the Department of Theatre & New Dance. All are welcome. There will be time for members of the community to step forward and say a few words. Light refreshments will be served.
